Gas Cell The gas cell is the heart of the Project 8 experiment. It's made of WR42 rectangular waveguide stock. The gasseous 83mKr source is confined in the cell with Kapton windows. The near end of the cell in this photo shows the SMA connection used to inject calibration signals, and the termination at the end of the waveguide.
